It's Star Trek vs Star Wars in my internet-trolling viral fan film. Originally posted to (the now defunct) Current.com in 2009 on the day J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" reboot opened in theaters, I later added extra scenes and posted a "Special Edition" to IGN.com in 2013, the day Abrams' sequel, "Star Trek Into Darkness," opened. Playing off the plot of "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home," the crew of the Enterprise returns to Earth to save more whales, but this time it's an alternate Earth where President Reagan's 1980's "Star Wars" Strategetic Defense Initiative has come to fruition.

When Facebook launched their "Watch" video platform in 2017, they came to IGN video for gaming content, and decided to include the Every Ever series I helped create with Scott Collura in a weekly format. I was tasked with helping to produce 5 densly-packed episodes in a short period of time, 2 of which I did the edit and gfx on myself. Here is the Mortal Kombat episode which runs through the history of characters in this famously violent fighting video game.

GoPro came to me to spice up this user-submitted video from Tony Thompson, who strapped a GroPro to the front of his high speed racing drone. With the videogame "Wipeout" coming to mind, I created a racing game overlay as well as in-world motion-tracked GFX. Drone racing is one of those things that reminds me we're living in the future. |

An extensive infographic history of every Jedi in the Star Wars "canon" universe. IGN enlisted its squad of resident Star Wars experts to produce this video, with me creating all the visuals. This is the 3rd video in IGN's "Every 'Blank' Ever" series created by writer Scott Collura (long before Smosh created their series of the same title) and visually conceptualized by myself. I mix 2D text and video with animated 3D dioramas from each major film and tv series.

Here is a SFX-only mix to showcase my sound design work on this IGN April Fool's prank video. It teases a fake Netflix Star Wars series centered around the fan favorite villain, Darth Maul. I tried to emphasize extra clarity and grit in the lightsaber sounds, as well as employ several sound holes for extra punch. Watch it with the full audio mix here.

This is part 1 of a 4 part documentary I edited on the making of Assassin's Creed 3. Ubisoft gave us behind the scenes access to show the process and theory on how the videogame came together. With 40 plus hours of footage and a general idea of each episode topic, I started by making paper cuts, then rough a-roll cuts, whittling down the interview footage into a coherent message before starting the real edit, finessing and squeezing the most out of the b-roll we shot, and never-before-seen gameplay Ubisoft was giving us.

IGN's annual April Fools video featuring voice over from Troy Baker and Dave Fennoy. Here we prank the biggest game of April 2014, Titanfall, by announcing the addition of the Transformers character, Optimus Prime, as a new playable mech in the game. I was responsible for the editing and sound design, as well as a few additional 3D animation and compositing shots of Matt Gravish's awesome Optimus 3D model that we integrated into existing game footage. Matt Gravish was the VFX lead. It was produced by Nick Scarpino, written by Mike Pereira, with additional editing by Patrick Coughlin.

Production company, Rehab, and Ad agency, Pereira & O'Dell hired me to make a series of stop-motion LEGO films for their "Go Miniman Go" campaign, which celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the LEGO "Miniman." I concepted the idea of a "hand of God" (or rather the hand of "Zack the LEGO Maniac" of 80's LEGO commercial fame), that flies down and builds LEGOS to save the day. I animated LEGO characters and vehicles and composited them into live action shaky-cam footage. The campaign won a Golden Pencil at the 2009 One Show Awards. The "dude" is played by: Kurt Andre

In 2007, I was inspired by The Orphanage's long running series of Ratchet & Clank commercials which featured Hollywood-grade VFX integrated into shaky homevideo footage. I started this video as an experiment to teach myself matchmoving and worked on it in my spare time over the course of a year until finally posting it to Current.com and YouTube in 2008. It went viral, receiving 1.5 million views overnight, which was a significant number for 2008, and went on to inspire many other "Death Star Over..." fan films. It was a finalist in the official 2009 Comic Con Star Wars Fan Film Festival.
